What's different about detailing a Tesla?
Car Wash Mode
Teslas have a built-in Car Wash Mode that closes the windows, locks the charge port and turns off automatic wipers and parking chimes. We use it on every Tesla so nothing activates mid-wash.
Softer paint
Tesla paint has a reputation for being relatively soft and prone to swirl marks. We hand wash with clean mitts and a careful technique — no brushes, no dragging grit across the paint. A paint sealant adds a sacrificial layer that makes future washes safer.
Glass roofs
Large glass roofs show every streak and water spot in the sun. We clean inside and out with ammonia-free glass cleaner and dry them carefully.
White and light interiors
White synthetic leather is beautiful and unforgiving — jeans, sunscreen and coffee leave marks. Gentle cleaning removes most of it, and an interior ceramic coating (included in the Performance Detail) makes future cleanups a quick wipe.
Frunk, trunk and sub-trunk
Extra storage means extra places for sand, grocery spills and gear. We vacuum and wipe out the frunk and trunk wells as part of a full detail.
Wraps and PPF
Many Teslas around Lake Norman have paint protection film or a wrap. Let us know when you book — matte and satin finishes need wax-free products, and we avoid aggressive techniques around film edges.
Other EVs we detail
The same approach applies to Rivian, Lucid, Ford Mustang Mach-E and F-150 Lightning, Hyundai Ioniq, Kia EV6/EV9, BMW i-series, Mercedes EQ, and more. If it plugs in, we'll treat its charge port and electronics with care.
Recommended package for Tesla owners
- Full Detail ($179) — a full interior + exterior reset, great every few months.
- Performance Detail ($349) — best for white interiors and new cars: 6-month paint sealant plus 2-year interior ceramic coating.
